Analysis of my school magazine front cover.

Does my magazine show any of the conventions of these magazines?

Yes, it shows a general link to these two magazines shown below. The magazine created sticks to a main colour scheme, linking to the colours of the school the magazine is representing. Also, the pictures are very well related into the school genre, as they are showing the students in uniform, representing the school environment. The students are shown in a medium shot, which establishes there reactions and also comfortably distinguishes the Mise En Scene being used in the picture.Elsewhere, the text on the front cover and contents are suitable, as they are both clear and easy to read. The contrasting colours are key to a magazine front cover, as they help the magazine look different and stand out over other magazines in shops. Again, it follows all of the main conventions that a magazine front cover should do. It has a large bold heading that ensures the title will stand out and also little subheadings around the page, which again help the main features of the magazine to stand out. The background information all stands out, giving it a rather professional edge. If I could re-do the task, then preferably i would insert more pictures into the front cover.
