The light colours and the cap help signify the r&b genre as they are common conventions that the audience would link into this genre. The ‘Beats’ headphones were very significant for me, as the word ‘Beats’ links into the music genre. However, it was one of the name ideas that I was going to call my own magazine. Also, in contrast, the Beats headphones have been created by a talented R&B artist, which again links in greatly with the genre.
